LIVE WITH A MISSION AND VISION
My Son was a chubby boy until 17 years
when he decided to join a Gym and shed all
his fatty layers. But when my son was born
he was underweight and we took him to
several doctors to get a treatment, but all
our efforts were in vain. We moved to
Bahrain and slowly he started to put on
weight. The reason, he became a master of
junk food. From early days he was very fond
of MacDonald’s kids meal. He could remember the Macdonalds location very well, Even
when we travel on a nearby street he would
tap my shoulder and start singing his
“famous Macdonalds Song”.
Macdonalds –MacDonald’s- Once you hear
this song. You are in trouble. There are two
solutions, either you should buy it immediately, or else pretend to ignore his song, but
he will continue to trouble you until you buy
it on the way back. As we all do, I follow the
first option.
You don’t need to go too far to understand
the reasons why my son, other kids as well
as adults like MacDonald’s ahead of other
fast-food outlets
Mission statement of the MacDonald’s
Corporation America is
To offer the fast food customer
food prepared in same high quality
word wide
Tasty
Reasonably Priced
Delivered in consistent low key décor
And friendly atmosphere

Forget the New Year resolutions.
Instead create a strong mission
and vision statement for yourself
Mission statement in simple terms is the
purpose of that organization. What you
do, who you do it for, how and why you do
it. Mission statements often help organizations to assess their operations and
employees to understand their responsibilities.
But a mission along would be not
sufficient to excel in the modern world of
competitive business. There comes the
vision statement. Vision in simple terms
is where you want to be in future. Vision
is the powerful tool which keeps the
companies moving and inspires employees. With a powerful vision employees see
them as “building a cathedral” rather than
laying the stones. Let me give you a very
good example for the power of a Vision.
Much like businesses, we humans too
have a purpose or mission in life. A
personal mission / vision statement
is a framework for powerful life and
many recommend writing it down. A
personal mission statement shall
reflect your uniqueness and answer
what is you life about, what do you
stand for and what are the actions
you are doing to uphold your purpose
and values.
Personal vision is a picture of you in
the future. Whom you want to be
what you want to do, what you want
to own and the actions you want to
take to reach that position. A personal vision is not created to impress
others but to inspire you. Forget the
New Year resolutions. Instead create
a strong mission and vision statement for yourself who will keep you
moving on the right direction and
stay focused on the big picture even
during ups and downs the life throws
at you.
In the long run men only hit
what they aim for."
Have a Mission, Have a Vision, and
be a great human being.

In 1961 John F Kennedy, the American
President made a surprise statement “
America will send a man to moon in 10
years “ This took even NASA by surprise,
because they didn’t have the technology.
Russians sent a man to space in 1961 and
Americans were lagging behind. But it
was a political necessity and it was a
vision. Government ensured that all the
funding for NASA was channeled towards
achieving that goal and as you all know it
didn’t take 10 years to achieve.
