LET TER FROM THE GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT RICH'S RAP With the year end, December will be one not forgotten as we welcome 2020! November and December were great months for us moving into the beginning of season. Our over-seeding of all three courses was a huge success as well as all the necessary horticulture practices it takes for the course to shine all season. Bunker edge improvements and cart path improvements also took a spot on the high priority list. Foliar applications of fertilizer throughout have provided us with a healthy stand of Bermuda grass throughout. All three courses are well defined and ready to take on a highly anticipated busy golfing season. Employee training has been key to us providing the finished product that the golfing community will enjoy throughout season. Everyone here at the Maintenance Department and employees throughout the Club have helped contribute to our success. We take pride in the staff we have here at Spanish Wells! Employee Spotlight: Roman Guevara Feliciano In the Course Maintenance Department, we have outstanding employees. Roman Guevara Feliciano has been working at Spanish Wells Course Maintenance for two years and has proven to be asset to our team. He takes pride in every ounce of work he does. He is an integral part of what we can accomplish. Roman hails from Mexico City, Mexico. He is married with one child. His son, which Roman is very proud of, is majoring in business at BYU. You will see Roman carrying out various job duties ranging from tee mowing, greens mowing, rough mowing all the way to edging cart paths and bunkers. Please take time to say hello to him from time to time. He will put a smile on your face almost as big as the one he always has on his. See you around the course, Richard Osgood Golf Course Superintendent | 10
