INTERNS LEAVING
INTERNS LEAVING
Amanda Nelzén, Marketing Manager
Amanda has held the position as Marketing Manager from the beginning
of January 2018 until the beginning of July. During her time at SACC- Phila-
delphia her duties have been to organize events, promoting the chamber,
maintain the website and writing the monthly newsletter.
This internship has broadened her knowledge in American business culture
and improved her understanding of marketing and communication. Fur-
thermore, the internship has been a great compliment to her bachelor of
arts in language, culture and communication.
Amanda has enjoyed her time in Philadephia very much. She thinks it is a
great city with amazing restaurants and fun cultural activites. Working at
SACC has given Amanda knowledge of how to run a non-profit organiza-
tion.
Amanda will now return to Stockholm to work in the communication and
marketing fields. She hopes that it will not be too long until she comes back
to the U.S.
David Johansson, Financial Manager
The past six months David has held the financial manager position of the
Chamber. His time at the chamber have both been exciting and challenging,
but also a period of cultural enrichment. “It’s always interesting moving to
a new city; new environment, new people, new routines. I believe the true
culture shock is when you are wandering around a grocery store without
finding anything to eat. Luckily there are many great restaurants in the city.”
His main responsibilities have been the accounting and financial reporting
of the Chamber, being the membership contact, and to create a financial
strategy to ensure a long-term stability and continuity of the Chamber.
David think this internship has been a great complement to his studies -
learning about American businesses and a true insight of the difference
between Swedish and American business culture. This internship has also
allowed for great networking opportunities.
After this internship David will go home to Stockholm and continue his
studies within Finance and Economics. He hopes that he will be back in the
U.S. very soon
