ELIZABETH ERICKSON NARAIN
Elizabeth Narain is an associate at the Vogel Law Firm in Fargo. As a first-year associate, she practices general civil litigation.
Narain earned her bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, from The
Catholic University of America in May 2020, with double majors in history and philosophy and a minor in Medieval and Byzantine studies. She was named a university scholar and earned the Zeender Prize for her thesis,“ The Honorable Ronald N. Davies and the Fight for Racial Justice.”
During her time in college, she was also a tutor at local elementary schools in Washington, D. C., as part of the DC Reads program. After graduating, Narain took one gap year, during which she interned for both the U. S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and the North Dakota Attorney General’ s Office. She attended law school at the University of Virginia and graduated in May 2024, at which time she was awarded the Virginia State Bar Family
Law Book Award. After graduating, Narain accepted a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr.( E. D. Mo.) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Outside of her work as an associate, Narain enjoys staying active in her hometown of Fargo. She especially enjoys helping young people find their voice within their communities and staying active in her church. On winter weekends, Narain is a regular judge for North Dakota High School Activities Association Debate Tournaments. She also serves as the American Legion Auxiliary’ s North Dakota Girls State Director of Government and Board Member. Her article,“ North Dakota Girls and Boys State Programs Teach Civic Duty” was published in the summer 2025 edition of The Gavel.
In her private time, Narain enjoys being with her family, reading, and watching TV.
