YOUTH MAGAZINE Self-Care S.O.S. THE QUARANTINE BEAUTY GUIDE By Angela Benitez We're All In This Together If you’re like most people in the U.S., and many other countries, you have been sheltering in place doing your part to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, for many, body care has been put on the backburner and why not? There’s no one to impress and unless you pull off those wool socks, no one would know that you haven’t had a pedicure since January. Now that several states are reopening, it’s time to restart your body care routine. Facial Exfoliate Whether you see it, or not, dead skin cells have formed and taken residence on your face. Dead skin cells can clog pores and cause acne and skin that doesn’t look as vibrant as it should. According to Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, you should exfoliate your skin two to three times a week, or at least once a week if you have sensitive skin.. A great exfoliate is “Drops of Youth Liquid Peel” made by The Body Shop. Instead of the Apricot that most of us are used to, this liquid peel rids the face of dead skill cells without the harshness of scrubbing beads. Retails for $25.
