MOTIVATION
our neurotransmitter would feed a piece of dopamine to our brain, giving us the excitement and happiness for more treats( dopamines). This is the cause of motivation.
Why do we lose Motivation? Loosing motivation is a normal stage in life. Lack of motivation is often a result of of lacking a strong goal, or how our brain manages energy, focus, and emotional response.
There are five most main factor on why motivations are so easily lost. It could be due to a lack of clear goals, where your goals are overwhelming for you to follow.
It could be the fear of failures, for you might feel anxiety around not being able to succeed. This feeling can lead to avoidance and procrastinations. The feeling of failure can cause a brain to try and avoid the thought of trying completely.
Our brains love immediate rewards in whatever we did. This causes the making of long-term goals less appealing for our minds to follow. Scrolling on your phone is an easy dopamine hit. We receive our treats very easily. Achieving our studying goal? Not so much treats— at least not right away.
When we have low dopamine levels, we tend to loose the mood to do anything. Factors like stress, lack of sleep, or even poor nutrition can decrease the amount of dopamines our brain receives, making everything feel like a chore.
Motivation is a skill, not something you either have or don’ t have. It all depends on the actions we take to create motivation.
