Electricty
Science has provided the most important and common thing in our daily life, which is electricity. From Benjamin Franklin’ s static electricity and lightning studies to Alessandro Volta’ s first battery, humans always took actions to improve their knowledge about electricity and tried to experiment with it. For the result of these determinations, they came to the step where they understood the electricity-magnetism relationship. Electricity, which came from the subject of science, powers phones, TVs, and even lights. We might see them as obvious things, but without science, electricity might not have been something that is being used nowadays.
Plastic
One of the most versatile ingredients, plastic, also comes from science. Plastic had its first appearance in the 1900s. Made by a chemist, it suits various jobs, from blocking bullets to slicker dental floss.
Medicine
Without science, we would still be fearing viruses and diseases more than anything else, due to lack of medication. As time went on, science improved medication. In the late 1700s, Edward Jenner showed how vaccination works. In the 1800s, a hypothesis on the existence of germs and their cause of diseases was proposed. In the 1920s, the first antibiotic was made. From the eradication of smallpox, medication now can prevent nutritional deficiencies. Many once deadly diseases are now not as deadly thanks to modern medication. Since science led to all such things, to what we see and experience in modern days, science is fundamental in daily life.
* Benjamin Franklin’ s lightning experiment
* plastic water bottles, one of the most common platic product
* Alexander Fleming, known for his creation of first antibiotic
Conclusion
Math and science are not much of an easy subject to approach, especially for the ones who do not find interest within the two subjects. Although they might be hard to learn or understand, it is true that they take significant roles in our daily life. They teach you important skills, support you with daily life activities, and provide you with inventions that are seen common in modern life. For these such reasons, math and science are fundamental to daily life.
