BOOKS VS MOVIES: WHICH TELLS A BETTER Story?
When a movie or a book is finished, there is always someone who asks,“ Which is better: the movie or the book?” In my opinion, books are much better because they provide insightful and detailed information. Movies bring stories to life and present lucid images of the plot, but they don ' t evoke the same sensation. With books, you feel wrapped up in the dialogues; every whisper chimes with you. Books allow for more inflection in the tone of the characters, which enhances the experience.
Since most movies run after written stories, the process of making a film is challenging, and important details can sometimes be deleted, which can affect the story significantly. There are always differences between movies and books. Sometimes the characters in movies behave differently from how they do in the books, or they may take actions that aren’ t mentioned in the original story. This can easily expose the differences between the movie and the story.
What makes a book better than a movie?
Books are full of detail, where the story is carefully plotted, and these details help readers imagine the scenes, allowing the brain to be creative. While a movie might last 2 or 3 hours, a book can have thousands of pages, which adds to a deeper comprehension of the story. Many people say that reading books helps improve vocabulary and grammar, and it ' s true; movies can also contribute to this through listening. However, many individuals enjoy rereading books because they are often short, while some may consider that watching a movie can take more time.
Many people think that movies are better because they provide a clear image of the story. However, I think that books offer a deeper context than movies do. They present more narratives and explore many themes, which lead to a better understanding of the story. Books allow for more literary analysis of the characters and the main plot to spot out. In books, the characters are more direct, making it easier to identify their traits and personalities. In a movie, a character’ s personality might not be easily identified and could be revealed only halfway through or remain unclear due to the actor ' s acting.
