Looking ahead, several major planning efforts will begin later this summer. We will launch work on our Comprehensive Master Plan along with a new Strategic Plan to guide operational initiatives. We will also begin master planning efforts for Gallery Park to help reimagine the next 25 years, and start planning for a new community park at the former Signode site.
On behalf of the Park Board of Commissioners, I would like to thank and commend the Village of Glenview Board of Trustees for their leadership in voting to transform the abandoned Signode industrial site into a vibrant community asset. This important step creates new opportunities for recreation, connection and long-term community benefit that we will help develop with community input.
Finally, renovations at Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center remain on track for a September reopening. We look forward to welcoming you back to an improved and refreshed space. Visit glenviewparks / splash-landings-renovation for construction updates.
