Warm weather is on the way – I hope the spring breezes are bringing you cheer and high spirits . I ’ m thrilled to share some exciting updates and upcoming programs that will bring fun for the whole family this season .

The Glenview Park District was recently awarded a $ 2.8 million PARC ( Park and Recreational Facility Construction Act ) Grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources . The Park District plans to utilize the grant to enhance Splash Landings indoor aquatics center at Park Center . The proposed upgrades include updating pool finishes , adding new mechanical systems that allow for the activity pool and lap pool temperatures to be controlled separately , and introducing features such as a retractable ninja course in the lap pool and a replacement play feature in the activity pool . We are always working on new enhancements at our facilities to better serve our residents . Here are a few fun projects our team is working on now :
1 . Discovery Room Renovations at The Grove : We are pleased to announce the finalization of the design and development phase for the Discovery Room renovations at The Grove . This project , funded through an Illinois Public Museum Capital grant , includes a new multi-species animal exhibit with tunnels for closer viewing . The renovations are expected to be completed in late 2024 , promising an enhanced experience for all visitors .
2 . Golf Turf Care Center : The Glenview Park Golf Club is in the process of finalizing the design for the new Golf Turf Care Center . We are committed to providing an excellent golfing experience , and this center will be a valuable addition . This project is being funded by planned capital development funds .
