Salvete Amici, It has been an absolute joy and a pleasure to be serving as your VJCL First Vice President this year. I have had a productive and exciting first few months on the job, and hope to continue doing so as the year progresses. So far, I have attended many meetings with my fellow VJCL Board Members in order to help plan Nationals, and ensure that we are able to get things done that benefit the VJCL. To that end, I also have put forth two very exciting initiatives, the first one being the Sister School System. I have paired up the schools who have indicated their desire to participate, and am happy to say that the program is going strongly. The other initiative was March Membership Month, in which schools gained points for publicity and gaining new membership. That event has closed, but, if your school would like another chance to participate, look out for another opportunity in the Fall. Beyond my initiatives, I also have kept in contact with the National Board and with other Classics related groups around Virginia. Once more, I’ d like to thank you all for the opportunity to serve as your First Vice President.
