The holidays are the season for giving , and this past season was no different . Thanks to the generosity and kindness of Cox team members across the country , thousands of children in need and with life-threatening illnesses experienced the joy of opening gifts . Below are just a few illustrations of how Cox employees are building a better future by spreading kindness , inspiring hope and helping our communities .
• 2021 marked Cox ’ s decades-long partnership with Marine Toys for Tots , as Atlanta employees collected and distributed toys to bring Christmas to those less fortunate .
• Cox Automotive ’ s mid-Atlantic sales team ’ s toy drive for Marine Toys for Tots collected nearly 2,500 bicycles , dolls , books and more .
• In New Orleans and Baton Rouge , La ., Cox Communications Southeast donated $ 25,000 to local Marine Toys for Tots organizations to purchase bicycles .
• Dealertrack team members in North Hills , N . Y ., donated more than 100 toys and gifts to dozens of children at Cohen Children ’ s Medical Center .
• Cox Enterprises ’ corporate affairs team members decorated holiday stockings and filled them with essential items , STEAMthemed educational materials and handwritten notes . The Salvation Army distributed these to less fortunate children in metro Atlanta .
• More than 250 Atlanta Cox team members donated time to the Empty Stocking Fund and The Salvation Army ’ s Angel Tree warehouse , where they sorted , organized and distributed gifts .
• Cox Communications team members in Acadiana , La ., manned stations in the 2021 Noel Acadien Au Village event . This annual 23-night Cajun Christmas festival raises funds for LARC , a nonprofit dedicated to supporting residential , vocational and community services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities .
