“ As a busy professional managing more than 100 employees and having a family , I found that traditional schools didn ’ t offer required classes at times or locations that worked for me ,” said John Craven , director of call center collections at Cox Communications . “ I enrolled in University of Phoenix for convenience . But I found a team-based learning environment that replicated the workplace , with the class full of busy professionals like myself having a similar desire to expand their knowledge , gain new skills and give presentations on what I had learned . It enabled me to achieve a degree when more traditional avenues seemed impossible to complete .”
