Chris Perdziola, our Family Resource Specialist, has continued to answer these requests and talk through everything with parents, grandparents, autistic adults. and professionals
Topics have included:
· Assisting adults seeking a diagnosis
· Recreation options for families
· Transition to adulthood including post secondary education, group
homes, waiver funding, employment
· Finding volunteer opportunities
· Autism evaluations for all ages
· Daycare and respite services
Jennifer Salamon, Director of Communications and Outreach, has decided to step away in favor of being a stay at home mom to her 2 children, one of whom is a teenager with autism. Before leaving she assisted with our outreach talks and consultations for places like Slippery Rock University, Allegheny Library Association, and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Someone else will be taking over this role soon, to engage in talks, trainings, and outreach.
We continue to be here for all of your autism needs. Just let us know what you need! We support people via any way of communication that is best – phone, email, messaging, video call, or mail.
