join us and Lieutenant Eric Kroll, (City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police), in planning, making videos, and reaching across the state to improve relationships and understanding between the disability community and the justice system. This will be at least a two year grant, bringing our expertise into economically distressed counties as well as better-resourced ones, to teach best practices in how to identify, encounter, and support people with a variety of disabilities. This is a critical juncture to address, as initial contacts can impact someone's life in dramatic ways and we are focussing on creating better outcomes
