What is your current position ? I am currently a partner at Kubik , Bogner , Ridl & Selinger in Dickinson .
What is your hometown , college attended , and law school attended ? I was born and raised in Dickinson . I attended the University of Mary for my undergraduate degree and the University of North Dakota for law school .
What professional work did you do before law school ? I had various jobs while going through undergrad . Most notably , I worked as a landman and as an intern in U . S . Senator John Hoeven ’ s office .
What led you to a career in law ? Both of my parents are lawyers . I fought the idea of being a lawyer throughout high school and my first two years of undergrad . Eventually , I realized following in my parents ’ footsteps wouldn ’ t be so bad . Both of my parents have had really great legal careers , which I have grown to appreciate even more after becoming an attorney myself .
How long have you been on the SBAND Board ? I have been on the SBAND Board for about a year .

What is the last book you read ( good or bad )? Honestly , the last book I read was “ Giraffes Can ’ t Dance ” to my 14-month-old daughter . But , the last actual book I read was “ The Last Great Game : Duke vs . Kentucky and the 2.1 Seconds that Changed Basketball .”
