Message from the DIRAUX , Commander Taylor-Davies
MEMORANDUM April 21 , 2021
1 . The safety of all Coast Guard ( CG ) members and their families is the highest priority . You have continued to hold fast the missions of the CG Auxiliary and I personally thank you for your dedication , professionalism , understanding and cooperation during this critical time .
2 . This guidance updates my memo of 06 Nov 2020 , reference ( a ). It fully incorporates the guidance to Coast Guard Units and Order Issuing Authorities ( OIA ) set forth in reference ( b ).

4 . Prior to any activity outside the home , Auxiliarists shall assess their personal ability to undertake the activity . This assessment will include the availability of proper personal protective equipment ( PPE ), their health history , the health of those in their household , the health of others they may be interacting with , and the overall risk versus gain of the activity .
5 . Reference ( c ), the Auxiliary COVID-19 High Risk Form , must be used to certify your status with respect to COVID-19 high-risk criteria . Copies of this form must be provided to the cognizant OIA and emailed to the DIRAUX office at
D05-SMB-NRDIRAUX @ USCG . MIL . This form only needs to be submitted once per person and covers all missions . You will only have to resubmit this form if there is a change of information in Blocks 1 or 2 . If you have already submitted an ANSC 7101 form , reference ( c ) to your OIA and to the DIRAUX office , no more forms need to be submitted , unless there is a change to Blocks 1 or 2 .
6 . All mass gatherings are authorized in accordance with reference ( b ). You must complete reference ( d ) and submit to the DIRAUX office to keep a copy on file .
7 . Everyone must honor and respect an Auxiliarist ’ s request to not perform an assignment to duty due to the Auxiliarist ’ s concerns about COVID-19 exposure .
