PATRICK SINNER DENNIS PATHROFF
Patrick Sinner
is an associate
attorney with

PLLP, in Fargo.
His practice
focuses primarily
on bankruptcy
and general
civil litigation.
He is licensed
to practice in
North Dakota
and Minnesota state and federal courts. He
also currently serves as secretary/treasurer of
the Cass County Bar Association. Dennis Pathroff is an associate attorney
with Zuger Kirmis & Smith, PLLP, in
Bismarck. He practices in government
relations, estate planning and probate,
and civil litigation.
Sinner grew up in Fargo and attended
Shanley High School. He went on to obtain a
bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University
in Collegeville, Minn., majoring in history
with a minor in political science. While there,
he studied abroad in Greece and Italy and
played football for John Gagliardi (NCAA all-
time winningest coach). After graduation, he
interned in Sen. Kent Conrad’s Washington,
D.C., office.
Sinner graduated from the University
of St. Thomas School of Law. While
in law school, he participated in the
consumer bankruptcy clinic, the
Minnesota Moot Court competition,
and held a judicial externship. He
also interned in the Fargo Public
Defender’s Office. Following law
school, Sinner clerked for Judge
Edward T. Wahl in Minnesota’s
Fourth Judicial District (Hennepin
County), Family Court division.
Pathroff graduated from Southern
Methodist University with a bachelor of
science in biological sciences and earned
his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from
the University of North Dakota. During
law school, he completed internships with
the North Dakota Legislative Council and
with the U.S. District Court for North Dakota.
Pathroff is the president of the Big Muddy Bar Association, a member
of the SBAND Legislative Committee, and a parishioner of Cathedral of
the Holy Spirit.
In his free time, Pathroff enjoys riding horses, playing golf, and
spending time with family. He resides in Bismarck with his wife, Jess, a
teacher and athletic director, and their one-year-old daughter, Denise
“Nisey.”
