Snowy’s story:
The long road to recovery
Snowy, who could have died after a hair
band had been doubled around her
muzzle, cutting through her flesh to her
bone, has made an incredible recovery –
and found a new home.
Inspector Jo Daniel was alerted to Snowy’s
plight after being contacted by a local
vet. Snowy had been taken there by her
owner who claimed she thought Snowy
had cut her lip. The full extent of her
horrific injuries was discovered when they
examined her. They immediately called
the RSPCA to report it.
Inspector Jo Daniel said: “The vets
estimate these injuries would have taken
over a week to reach this point and
during this time Snowy would have been
extremely distressed, pawing at her face
and unable to eat or drink properly. She
was so poorly after the band was removed
because of the toxic nature of what had
happened, the vets were quite worried it
was life-threatening.“
Snowy came to West Hatch following her
lengthy operation to remove the band and
began her recovery. She was a brigh Ё
