our carpets and rugs very confusing!
This quickly changed and Basil has really
come into his own. Basil has been part
of our family for nearly two months,
and we now couldn’t imagine our lives
without him.”
Cicely
Another of the cats
Cicely has really
fallen on his paws:
“I’m settling in
well at my new
home and busy
discovering
all the new
sights and
smells. When
I first arrived,
I found walking on carpet really
tricky and did a funny little hop on it
much to everyone’s amusement here!
Life with children is interesting!
Sometimes it’s noisy but I don’t mind too
much. I even like to join in the games as
you can see in the photo! Best time is
the evening in front of the fire when the
children are in bed (funny enough, my
new Mum says that too)!“
Sycamore (now Roly)
Sycamore also
seems to have
made himself
at home:
“We’re pretty
sure Roly
(Sycamore) has
settled right in
and his new
name is quite
appropriate!“
Paper appeal
ere at West Hatch we can recycle
H
all sorts of items and one which is
particularly useful to us is your paper!
Long cut shredded paper is used daily
for our hedgehogs to hide in and as
you can imagine we get through vast
quantities of it when we are full. The
rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and hamsters
at the animal centre can also make
use of shredded paper so nothing goes
to waste.
We are also always needing newspapers
as these are used for the guinea pig and
ferret indoor areas and are also very
handy when we are caring for messy
puppies!
Donations can be brought to the Centre
or dropped off at Taunton Charity shop.
