Reception visit Ban Chang
To help answer
Market some of the lines of
inquiry for our new Food Unit, both the
Reception classes took a trip to the local
fresh market in Ban Chang. Working in
small groups with teachers and parent
volunteers
the
children
bought
ingredients for several Thai dishes to
prepare and cook once we arrived back to
the classroom. The trip was interesting
and fun. The children learned more about
the healthy foods we should eat, how and
where to buy them and how to prepare
them. It was a great day!

Pajama Party in Kindergarten
Last week the two kindergarten classes held a Pajama Party to introduce their new unit of inquiry: ‘Everyone is a
Storyteller’. Children, teachers and parents all came along dressed in their pajamas to share favourite books and listen
to different people telling and reading stories. Ms Charissa and Ms Minke also put on a wonderful puppet show
which dramatized the story of the Frog and the Princess. At the end of the morning there was a shared breakfast of
pancakes and hot chocolate. Everybody had such a great time that they didn’t want to go home!
