Gifted and Talented Cluster Day
Last Friday the exceptional learners group had a
cluster day at Garden International School.
It
was
all
about
The
Future
is
Wild!
The aim was to create a futuristic animal that
would be alive 250 million years in the future.
In groups we had to think how the creature would
adapt in its habitat and then make the animal!
Finally we had to film a documentary about the
animal and talk about
how it had adapted.
We had a really exciting time learning lots of new
things!

exciting new swimming complex. You are welcome to
join us for the fun events that will showcase our

Book Week 2014 – Follow-up
As published earlier some of our Read-a-thon funds will be donated charity – we have selected
Women With A Mission. WWM has a focus on providing scholarships to 19 students who completed
year 9 in March of this year to enable them to continue their education. Our donation will be utilised
to support them attending year 10. These students will sit entrance exams in early May and only then
will they know if they can continue onto year 10. The approximate cost is B10,000 per year, which
includes accommodation, transport, books, uniforms, meals and school fees. Our donation will see
one student being fully funded, enabling him/her to continue Year 10 education.
