I n 2020 , a federal court judge struck down , for a second time , the delisting of a recovered population of grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem . Following the court action , the Fish and Wildlife Service determined to not proceed with another attempt at delisting . However , Montana and Idaho have since petitioned to delist the recovered population of bears . We continue to monitor the case and will fight for the proper application of the Endangered Species Act .
