Plymouth State Softball Seeking Vengeance

By Amanda Johnston

In a recent interview with senior captain, Allison Moylan, of the Plymouth State softball team I was enlightened to the road set ahead of them. Moylan informed me that after the heart breaking championship loss of the number 1 PSU to UMass Boston that the team was not going to settle for anything less this year, "based on our outcome of our season last year we want to do nothing than be better. Losing (to Boston) last year showed us just how badly we want and deserve that feeling that they (UMass) had."

The Senior captain feels that her team is nothing short of championship material with a group that is "very strong mentally and physically as well as an overpowering defense, averaging 1 error a game."

With the loss of simply three seniors the team looks to have just as good if not better defense this year.

In our closing remarks Moylan made it clear that her goal is to finish her senior year (the last year she will ever play) strong and the best season of her life. She wishes just one thing, "the team to have the mindset that we can go all the way, just like last year but win it all." The senior captain doesn't want to leave without leading the first ever PSU team to an LEC championship. Best of luck to the PSU softball team as they seek vengeance for their lose in the 2016 loss to UMass Boston.
