Last season was a pretty good look at whats to come for the Bruins. A young squad mainly and a group of seasoned veterans had a pretty good season. Veterans like Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and Tuukka Rask lead the way for a great group of young players. We saw some of these young players have breakout years but mainly we saw the star potential of David Pasternak. We saw flashes of greatness from Anders Bjork and Jake Debrusk. This lead to a pretty decent year where the Boston Bruins managed third place in the Atlantic Divison going 42-31-7. Hopes were high for the Stanley Cup playoffs last year but unfortunately the Bruins fell short in the first round to the Ottawa Senators. It was still good to see some of the younger players gain playoff experience.

These core players along with the up and coming young talent lead most Bruins fan’s to believe the team will clinch another playoff berth this year. If we can see some big strides from the younger players there’s no reason that this team couldn’t at least make it to the Stanley Cup. Finals. So far this year these Bruins have lived up to the hype for the most part. Despite injuries to quite a few of their key players including Kevan Millar, Frank Vatrano, and Torey Krug they’ve still managed a 12-9-4 record up to this point. If they can overcome injuries and have multiple players step up there's no reason it shouldn’t be a big year for this Boston team. Don't be surprised to see a solid playoff run for this young talented Bruins team with a good mix of veterans and young talent.
