Over and Underrated Players from 2012
By: Ryan Welte
Overrated- Andre Johnson: Only 4 TDs in 2012, he just isn't the threat that he was, and still should be. Anyone who still puts him on the top level of NFL Wide Receivers hasn't watched him lately.
Underrated- Luke Kuechly: This guy is a rookie and led the league with 164 tackles! This man could seriously be an all time great.
Overrated- Michael Turner: Turner only had 800 yards on a 3.6 yards per carry average. His age is showing.
Overrated- Julius Peppers: The past two years, Peppers posted his two worst tackling seasons since 2008.
Underrated- Stevan Ridley: Ridley turned the Pats offense from all Brady to ballanced. His 12 rushing TDs were tied for 3rd best in the NFL.
Overrated- Cam Newton: Newton is a turnover machine and lets his ego get in the way of the team's success. He will never win a playoff game in his NFL career.
Overrated- Brian Urlacher: Urlacher finished the season with 34 tackles less than last year and has a total of zero sacks in the last 2 years.
Underrated- BenJavrus Green-Ellis: He had a strong end to the season rushing for over 100 yards in 4 of their final 6 games. Look for the Bengals offense to be more than just Dalton and Green in the playoffs.
Overrated- Maurice Jones-Drew: He was injured for a lot of the season but still should have finished with more than 414 yards and 1 TD.
