Chicago: Lovie Smith was released by the Bears after a 10-6 season, but missed the playoffs. Bears WR Devin Hester didn't like the move and spoke about considering retirement because of it. Smith is a great coach and will not have a problem finding a new place to coach. The Bears appear to be the best position that a coach could step into with quality players on offense and a good, but waging defense.

Kansas City: Romeo Crennel failed once again to coach a successful team in the NFL. I don't think he will get another chance as a Head Coach anywhere either. The Chiefs are just bad, but again it comes down to the QB position, in which they have a battle over the starting spot between Brady Quinn and Matt Cassel. The Chiefs finished the year 5th in the league rushing, but that isn't enough to win enough games to make the playoffs. Kansas City isn't to me a very desirable coaching position.

Buffalo: The Bills released their Head Coach Chan Gailey after another poor season. The Bills fooled everyone this offseason by making moves like signing Mario Williams and some people predicted the Bills to take a wild-card spot in the playoffs (I was one of them). The move that chooses a coach's destiny is who they get as their franchise QB, and since Ryan Fitzpatrick received a big contract his play has gone down hill. Gailey should get another coaching job in the NFL, but I don't think that he will be a Head Coach again again for a while. As for anyone wanting to occupy a Head Coaching position, Buffalo would not be their first choice.

Carolina: The Panther's have not fired their Head Coach Ron Rivera, yet. They have said that they will take time to make their decision. I think they should keep him. The problem isn't Rivera and the coaching staff, it is Cam Newton. He will never win in the NFL. They did draft a great player last year in Luke Kuechly and he could lead a solid defends for them. The problem for Rivera is, he is pretty well screwed because he cannot under any circumstances get rid of Newton because of what they have invested in him.

Arizona: Ken Wisenhunt was fired by the Cardinals after a disappointing 5-11 2012 season. This leaves a spot open for a coach who will walk onto a team with a good defense and good wide receivers. The Cardinals have a decent running game situation but the problem is at QB, and its a big problem. Andy Reid would be a good fit and has a chance to revive the career of former Eagles QB Kevin Kiln. As for Wisenhunt, he could find a coordinator job somewhere in the NFL.

New York: The Jets made headlines again by firing their GM Mike Tannenbaum, but keeping their Head Coach Rex Ryan. I like the firing of Tannenbaum, but don't like that they are still attempting this Rex Ryan experiment. I think he is a good coach, and his former players do too, but they need to move on and completely start a new era. Tannenbaum, Ryan, and Sanchez should all be out of there.
