The National Rugby League is the top professional league of its sport throughout Australasia. Australia’s top domestic club competition grew from Sydney’s local club competition which was established in 1908. It consists of 15 Australian teams and 1 New Zealand team. There is 26 games played consisting of two byes. The top 8 teams on the table go to the finals series.

Holden Cup

The Holden Cup is the NRL competition for players under 20. It commenced in 2008 and was formally known as the Toyota cup. The Holden Cup has the same teams from the NRL. The games are played directly before the NRL games. The most successful team in the competion are the New Zealand Warriors winning in 2010 and 2011.
