Our Summer Service-Learning Program fosters young adults (mainly college students) who not only
want to build their resumes and gain real-life experience in their fields of study, they desire to make a
difference in the world by serving others. This is the fourth year for our program, which has doubled in
size since it began. Above are just some of the 16 young adults who this year served as volunteers,
interns or Companions in Mission in our ministries — some returning from previous years, some here
only a week, some here over the course of months, some discerning a religious vocation. Their presence
is a blessing for us, and as you can see by these many smiles, for the people served by our ministries.
