Spirit Talk & The Professional Medium, in its various forms and social media content reserves the right to reproduce any submissions with credit to the originator. The opinions expressed in Spirit Talk & The Professional are that of the author and not necessarily shared. Someone who hadn’t read the magazine asked me last week what it is all about. Fair question! What we aren’t about is self-help. We are about exploring other people’s opinions and experiences so we can share them and come to our own conclusions and beliefs. As there is no scientific “proof” of any aspect of spirituality that is the only way we will learn and grow with it. It’s like a meeting place where we can all share experiences and stories without surfing the net for hours, so don’t be afraid to contribute! It is also a way of taking a consolidated view of the “profession” or “industry” whichever you like to call it and letting practitioners know what the clients think and what associated professionals think too. The other aspect is that Picardy Shankland is a publishing and production company, not just Spirit Talk, but books and of course television. Filming begins this weekend for the television show, working title Project Medium with the delightfully gentlemanly Barry Gray. Television is a strange industry and so many people think it’s full of glitz and glamour! Ask Barry about twelve hour shooting days, cold weather and on the run take-away for dinner! Then of course this month rehearsals begin for the stage show with the delicious Elle Dawe and Barry in the new version of “Hands Up If You’re Dead” to be previewed in Gosford in August! Busy, rewarding, fun, exciting, interesting and exhausting – YES! Glamorous, glitzy and all champagne and oysters? – NOPE!
