The Worlds Oceans are connected:
Crude oil contains tens of thousands of various kinds of hazardous chemicals and wastes. Due to the oceans currents, pollutants are taken all over the world when tanker accidents occur. However, tanker accidents only count for 10% of the oil leaked into the ocean. 5% comes from natural resources, 35% comes from oil traffic/illegal dumping and 45% comes from oil being burned incompletely, then making its way back into the water after solidating. The last 5% is released by an unidentifiable resource.
