When most people think of Grenada , they think of it as a vacation paradise with its endless white sand beaches , spectacular sea diving and breathtaking waterfalls but it ’ s more than that - it ’ s also considered a Culinary Capital of the Caribbean .
For years , The Spice Isle has been at the forefront of a culinary revolution and Chef Belinda Bishop ( Chef Belinda ), one of the island ' s premier chefs has been at the helm of making sure that people around the world know about it .
In 2018 , Chef Belinda , who represents the island as a Culinary Ambassador , created the Culinary
Safari , to introduce visitors to Grenadian culture through the food and history .
“ Living food is the healthiest food ,” said Bishop . “ I want people who come here to experience what it ’ s like to pick fresh fruits and vegetables and then learn how to cook them with a West Indian flair .”
The safari takes place at one of the most lush gardens and historic spaces on the island , the Tower Estate , a historic 100 year old mansion tucked away in the hills of St . George ’ s in the community of St . Paul . Foodies flock from around the world to enjoy this unique 4.5 hour adventure .
