trade his tailored suits for overalls , his briefcases for garden tools , and the hustle and bustle of the business world for the serenity of the Spice Island , at least on a part-time basis . Ably assisted by his sister Berna , who resides in Grenada , his farming life began .
His first endeavor this past December was to establish a goat farm , starting with a paired set of Pygmy Goats . With ample grazing land for the goats , the next step was to build a sturdy enclosure to shield them from inclement weather . He studied their habits and with assistance from the Veterinary Department of the St . George ’ s University ( SGU ) in Grenada , he learned about their nutritional and health needs and is becoming well versed in the art of rearing goats . Ted delved into poultry farming , raising Broiler chickens . He set up spacious coops , meticulously cared for the chickens , and sold them to locals and market vendors on order . Ted ' s commitment to quality and sustainable farming practices is quickly earning him a reputation as an exemplary farmer .
His newfound agricultural expertise didn ' t end there . Ted also cultivates a vast vegetable garden , carefully tending to the soil and nurturing a wide variety of crops . His farm is a cornucopia of fresh produce , from crisp lettuce to cucumbers , tomatoes , okra , yams , cabbage , taro , corn , beans , limes , mangoes , bananas , callaloo ( dasheen bush ) to scallions , thyme , and shallots . Ted takes great joy in harvesting his vegetables , knowing they would nourish the people of Grenada . The coconut trees that adorned his land produces sweet coconuts for vendors and tourists alike .
But Ted ' s true joy comes from sharing his bounty with those in need . He donates a significant portion of his produce to churches and community organizations , ensuring that even the less fortunate has access to fresh , nutritious
