Once upon a time , in the bustling city of Montreal , Quebec , Canada , there lived a man named Theodore H . Blaize , lovingly known as Ted . He was a successful businessman , an Engineer and a Community stalwart known for his sharp wit and astute business acumen .
On the passing of Mr . Leonard Wharwood Jr , the Grenada Honorary Consul in Montreal and the Province of Quebec , Ted was appointed Honorary Consul to ensure continuance of the ongoing projects which was returning benefit to Grenada . Ted agreed . He managed his role with enthusiasm , immersing himself in the Grenadian culture , history , and the affairs of the Grenadian people of Quebec . He felt an inexplicable connection to his native country , and a sense of duty to give back to the land that had shaped him .
Ted revived the Grenada Farm Workers Program in Quebec , raising the numbers of Grenadians from 20 to 85 workers within 4 years before the Covid pandemic halted all international travel . That he was instrumental in recruiting and helping these young Grenadians to earn foreign currency and improve their lot in life for themselves and their families , was of immense pride and a privilege .
Inspired by his newfound position , Ted made the life-changing decision to return to Grenada . He yearned to reconnect with his roots and start a new chapter in his life . Sensing that this might be the change he had been seeking , and with the passing of his beloved wife , Ivy , Ted ’ s yearning for something more fulfilling than the corporate world , led him back to Grenada . He retired from his position as Vice-President of Conterm Inc , a large container care company in Montreal , and decided that his life was about to take an unexpected turn .
With a comfortable lifestyle , expertise , decades of experience , yearning for warmer climes and his family home nestled between the lush hills of Woodlands in Grenada , Ted ’ s vision was clear – he would become a Gentleman Farmer in Grenada . He would
