By providing scholarships , mentorship and resources , the GemStar Circle of Excellence program is breaking down barriers to education and creating a more equitable future for all students .
The GemStar Circle of Excellence is funded by a variety of sources , including BMO Bank of Montreal , Groupe 3737 - Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiatives ( SBBI ), private individuals and corporations . almost 60 years ago , Gemma has partnered with Flavours of Grenada and T . A . Marryshow Community College to award a yearly GemStar Scholarship of $ 1,000 Cdn to a student in Grenada who is a graduate of St . Joseph ’ s Convent , her alma-mater , and who is pursuing a career in the Culinary Arts .
Congratulations to Gemma who selflessly gives back to her community abroad and in her native Grenada .
