Fred Swifton award representative , and the school ’ s last all American . To sum up my career in Akron … in 2018 I was inducted into the Hall of Fame . After a storied career at Akron , I lived out my childhood dream , playing in the N . F . L . I was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs . Unfortunately , I was released after a hard-fought training camp . Without a moment of despair , I decided to sign in the C . F . L to the team that drafted me , the Calgary Stampeders . In my rookie season I was able to help the Stamps win the 97th grey cup , a game that was played in Montreal . It was my 1st game back in my hometown in 6 years . In my 8 seasons in the C . F . L I played in 3 total gray cups , winning 2 rings .
Growing up with West Indian “ broughtupsy ” has pointed me in a direction to be successful . I am proud of my roots and the Grenadian community that was behind me , propelling me to excel and make the most of my opportunities .

When I retired in 2015 , Calgary became my home . Football has always been a passion for me so it was no surprise when I became a coach for the University of Calgary in 2017 . It was an opportunity to give back to others what football had given me . In 2019 , I helped coach the team to a national championship , the 1st championship in 24 years .
In 2022 , I became the first black offensive coordinator in the university ' s history . Community has always been a priority in my life . In the same year that I became an offensive coordinator , I won the Calgary black chamber achievement award for sports recreation and community , a feat that I am extremely proud of .
