Growing up in Montreal , a city known for its great tradition in culture , I was fortunate to be submerged in the West Indian community and its family atmosphere . In all my life ’ s travels , I am proud to carry that heritage and culture with me . In 2002 , I was fortunate to receive a bursary from the Grenada Association , something I vowed to put into great use . At the same time , I accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Akron for football . It was a big year for me because I was rated as the # 1 football prospect in Canada by major football ranking agencies . In University

I would spend the next 5 years fulfilling my vow . In my 5 years at Akron , I was able to accomplish graduating with a Bachelor in exercise and physiology .
On the football side I finished my career with 6 school records : career total receptions , and yards . Most receptions in a half , a game , and season . Also , set the single game receiving record for yards . Records that still stand to this date . I helped bring the team to its 1st ever bowl game in school history .
