SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AKA SORORITY, INC. OFFERS FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS 2014 SAM PERRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE APPROACHING OXFORD, NC – The Granville Health System Foundation has announced that the deadline for submitting applications for the 2014 Sam Perry Memorial Scholarship Program is April 30, 2014. The Foundation established the scholarship fund in honor of Sam Perry, a Physician’s Assistant (PA) whose specialized medical care had earned him deep respect from both patients and peers throughout his career. The scholarship will be awarded by the Foundation to a Granville County resident who has been accepted into a two-year or four-year Allied Health Program at an accredited school and who intends to pursue a career in the allied health care field. Programs eligible for this scholarship include clinical laboratory sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiological science, pharmacy, RN, BSN, ADN, LPN, dentistry and related careers, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner. RTP BLACK BUSINESS RESOURCE GROUP ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WAKE COUNTY, NC - The Sigma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Ivy Community Service Foundation of Cary, Inc. are offering 5 scholarships at $2500 each and 2 book awards at $1000 each to graduating high school seniors in our service area, Western Wake County (Cary, Apex, Fuquay Varina, Holly Springs). The recipients of this award will be granted a minimum $500.00 scholarship to be used at any accredited two or four year college or university and are upcoming college freshmen for the 2014 Fall semester.
