COSMETICS & PERSONAL CARE
a b prevention in areas that are traditionally difficult to treat.
Illustrative photos( Figure 5) show the typical appearance of sleep wrinkles caused by repeated compression during rest. Captured on a volunteer lying down and with the face gently pressed against a pillow, the images highlight the depth and pattern of these fine lines. After applying the product, a visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles can be seen in both positions, demonstrating its smoothing effect and efficacy on sleepinduced skin creasing.

UltraReverse demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in fine wrinkles, with a decrease of-24.8 %( p < 0.001)( Figure 3). These results confirm its ability to diminish visible signs of ageing and also to modulate the skin’ s biological response to mechanical stress in a sensitive and sleep-prone zone.
The region above the eyes, which is equally vulnerable to mechanical forces during sleep and the presence of sleep wrinkles, also showed a notable response to treatment with PrimalHyal UltraReverse at 0.5 %.
After 28 days of application, a significant reduction in fine wrinkle area was observed, reaching – 12.6 %( p < 0.05), with further improvements up to – 18.7 % at day 56( Figure 4). In comparison, the placebo group exhibited noticeably lower response rates.
These findings reinforce the efficacy of PrimalHyal UltraReverse in addressing sleep-induced wrinkle formation in the upper facial areas. By delivering intracellular activity, it helps counteract the physical effects of nightly mechanical stress, offering a new avenue for proactive skin ageing

Conclusion
Beyond offering a new frontier in wrinkle correction, the identification of sleep wrinkles opens up significant opportunities for product innovation, consumer education and targeted night-time skincare. As these stem from repeated mechanical forces rather than expression or UV damage, they may be less responsive to conventional anti-ageing approaches, making highprecision, intracellular interventions particularly relevant.
PrimalHyal UltraReverse is the first intracellular HA clinically proven to act on all wrinkle types, including sleep wrinkles. Its extra-low molecular weight allows it to penetrate deep into skin cells, activating four key rejuvenation mechanisms from within and supporting DNA repair, telomerase activity, methylation processes and proteasome function.
Raising awareness about this specific wrinkle type, along with promoting effective prevention strategies, will be essential to unlocking the full potential of this discovery and helping consumers better understand the benefits of tailored, night-time formulations. ●
