The world ’ s largest pharmaceutical event returns to Italy for the first time after 14 years , in hybrid form
After the cancellation of last year ’ s event due to COVID-19 , the world ’ s largest pharmaceutical industry event , CPhI Worldwide , returns in hybrid form this year . Full details are on the dedicated website , where you can also look at a full list of exhibitors and register to attend as a visitor . As with its North American iteration in August , there will be four weeks of online conferences and networking , running from 25 October to 19 November , either side of the in-person event at Fiera Milano in Italy on 9-11 November . Highlights of the conference content , for which full timings are not yet available , include :

Milan is Italy ’ s industrial and financial powerhouse , as well as being at the heart of its substantial API manufacturing industry . This is the first time CPhI has come here since 2007 . On-site safety measures will be implemented in-line with government guidelines and organiser Informa ’ s AllSecure standards , a detailed set of enhanced measures to provide the highest levels of hygiene and safety .
According to Informa , CPhI Worldwide 2002 will have 170 + countries participating , 2,500 + exhibiting companies and 100 + onsite conferences and activities . These include the CPhI Pharma Awards on the evening of 9 November . Online networking will continue , for those who are unable or unwilling to attend in person . As in previous years , the main area of CPhI Worldwide will be divided into product-specific zones in order to give each industry sector more visibility and allow visitors to easily locate and source the products they are looking for . These include APIs , Custom Manufacturing , Fine Chemicals & Intermediates , Excipients , Integrated Pharma and Natural Extracts . Also as before , all of the co-located events take place alongside CPhI Worldwide in dedicated areas . These are :
• ICSE , the contract services area , where exhibitors offer such services as clinical trials , IT , research , biotech , logistical , laboratory and analytical services
• InnoPack , for all pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery platform needs
• P-MEC for pharmaceutical machinery , equipment and technology
• FDF , brining together every aspect of the finished dosage supply chain
• BioProduction , focusing on bioprocessing and manufacturing As a perennial media partner to the CPhI shows , the Speciality Chemicals Magazine team will be present throughout the in-person event and we look forward to seeing you for the first time in two years . •
