50 years of shaping glass processing innovation
Celebrating fifty years means more than looking back: it means proving, year after year, the ability to design the future. In 2026, Forel marks its 50th anniversary at Glasstec with solutions that embody its claim:“ Driven by innovation. Proven through time”. This is not just a celebration, but a concrete industrial message: innovation built on technologies that perform, last and deliver measurable results for glass processors.
High Speed Thermoplastic IG Line When Thermoplastic Meets High Productivity Today’ s insulating glass market, especially residential and largescale projects, demands maximum productivity: speed, continuity and consistent quality. To complete its IG portfolio, Forel has developed a fully automated system integrating thermoplastic spacer technology for high-volume production. The new High Speed Thermoplastic IG Line marks a strategic step forward, bringing thermoplastic solutions to the standards of high-intensity industrial lines. With processing speeds up to 30 % higher than traditional configurations, the line expands Forel’ s presence across all major IG technologies, offering a complete, modular range adaptable to different production needs. Spacer application is integrated into a continuous, optimised workflow. The coupling phase, managed by a double tandem press with gas filling, ensures high throughput while maintaining precision and stability. Sealing is handled by a robotic system applying two-component material, enhanced by proven technical solutions including dual transport carriage and twin dosing units. The result: uniformity, reliability and elevated productivity.
Rigid Spacers: Innovation Within Tradition Forel also strengthens its rigid spacer solutions with key upgrades. The automatic desiccant filler has been fully renewed, improving filling precision, process control and operational reliability demonstrating how established technologies can evolve according to Industry 4.0 principles.
