GlassInspector system for the inspection of jumbo glass sheets

In recent years, Deltamax has significantly expanded its range of machine vision solutions dedicated to insulating glass production lines. No longer a single system, but a true inspection ecosystem designed to accompany the glass through every stage of the manufacturing process: from the jumbo sheet to the finished insulating glass unit, ready for shipment

Our technological evolution has been made possible by more than twenty years of field experience working alongside insulating glass manufacturers in over 35 countries worldwide. This experience has enabled our engineers to develop solutions that are increasingly tailored to the real needs of those working on production lines every day. Precision and reliability combined with ease of use and low maintenance requirements provide continuous support and quality control in line with company standards. Following this philosophy, the major innovation for 2026 is the adaptation of the GlassInspector system for the inspection of jumbo glass sheets. After washing, the sheets are inspected for structural defects such as bubbles, inclusions, deep scratches, and coating defects. These defects cannot be repaired and would otherwise result in

glass rejection. The detected defect map is then transmitted to the cutting table, where it is used to optimize cutting operations, reducing waste and improving overall process yield. This new system completes Deltamax’ s portfolio of solutions for insulating glass lines, which already includes GlassInspector and Q Plus for the inspection of washed single panes, as well as the IGU Scanner system for finished insulating glass inspection. Together, they form a comprehensive range of solutions ready to satisfy even the most demanding customers. A notable example is Wolf Fenster, a company based in Natz-Schabs( South Tyrol, Italy), which has been producing high-quality windows and doors for approximately 60 years. Its
