Cooper is 6 1/2 months old, (7weeks post openheart surgery). He beams a smile when you sing the alphabet song and an even bigger one when his brothers do the jive. Already so full of love and merriment!
He has taught me so much and I look forward to a lifetime of learning so much more.
Copper, your determination will define you, your drive will guide you and my love will follow you - Mom
Jacob is 4 years old and loves pretend play with costumes. Sometimes I forget that Jacob was diagnosed with Down syndrome. Jacob does everything that other children his age can do; sure it might take him “alittle” longer to grasp it but when he does catch it; he doesn’t forget. He attends daycare with typical developing peers and believe me Jacob keeps up with all the children. When a parent walks into the room, Jacob will say the name of the child which that parent is there to get.
Jacob is so full of love and our little social butterfly. It takes us so long to get through a store because all the workers including the cashier will stop and hug Jacob per his request . He is our Angel and our hearts will never be the same. - Jennifer Douglas
Down Syndrome is just something that Jacob was ‘’Diagnosed” with; it doesn’t define who he is or who he will become.
