Get help if you need it At some point everyone if going to run off track, and that's fine - as long as you breath and get back on track. Running late on an assignment? Having anxiety issues? Missed a few classes? Don't have enough money for food or books? Just want someone to talk to? There are so many people around uni that can help you, you just need to reach out to someone, anyone, and they can point you in the right direction. Find a list of support services here; our.murdoch.edu.au/Student-life/MyFirst-Year/Support-Services/ It's not just for first years! Reward yourself I don't think this is mentioned enough. If you keep running full steam ahead all semester and don't let yourself rest then you are simply going to burnout and won't want to return to class, prac, or maybe uni altogether. If you have just finished a big assignment, been handed back a great grade, finished reading your textbook or done something great in your out-of-uni life then go celebrate. Go out for dinner, catch up with friends, go to the zoo or the beach, play a game of soccer, or even just have a movie or games night in with friends and family. If you don't enjoy yourself and reward your smaller achievements then you might be too worn out to tackle your big goals.
