Elroy-Sparta State Trail Closures
Rev. 6/15/20
In August of 2018, heavy rains and storms caused the temporary closure of Wildcat Mountain State Park and closures along the Elroy-
Sparta, 400 and Hillsboro state trails. The Department of Natural Resources has been working diligently to reopen the trail segments.
Wildcat Mountain and the Hillsboro and 400 state trails are completely repaired and open to the public. Major repairs still remain on
sections of the Elroy-Sparta State Trail with the sections to re-open in 2021.
