would like to thank everyone involved with this derby. I have four boys ages 12, 8, 6, and 4. With the big age range sometimes it’s hard to find
something that we can all do and bound over. This derby has been able to do that for us. We are all having a great time and we can’t thank you

Join us for a fishing derby this summer. To celebrate Sparta’s outstanding
fishing habitat, the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a summer-long
fishing derby. Rainbow trout have been added to the La Crosse
River at Sparta’s Evans-Bosshard Park on Monday, June 8. Many of the rainbow
trout are tagged with “BikeSparta” and the Chamber’s phone number.
Anyone catching a tagged trout can be entered into a drawing for a share of
$500 in cash and prizes by contacting the chamber office with the tag number
and their contact information, you can email a photo of your tagged trout
to [e-mail]. Pictures of tagged trout are welcomed and will be
posted on the Chamber’s Facebook event page.
