WE ARE YOUTH CENTERED

Camp Fire programs develop youth to become self-reliant, caring members of their families, their schools, and their communities, while including sports, games, crafts, and other similar activities. Youth take active roles in determining program content and activities

WE ENGAGE THE ENTIRE FAMILY

We are youth centered and family focused. Camp Fire programs are designed to include whole families; valuing whatever forms those families may take in today’s society. Using outcome-based coeducational curricula, Camp Fire encourages participation in group and individual projects, developing social interaction skills as well as self-reliance.

WE ARE WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE

Camp Fire is inclusive, welcoming youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation, or other aspects of diversity. Camp Fire programs are coeducational- designed for both boys and girls

WE BUILD YOUTH AND ADULT PARTNERSHIPS

Youth and adults work together in partnership to design, implement, and evaluate what they want to do. Through participation in which they have voice and direction, Camp Fire youth form lasting relationships, a sense of belonging and appreciation, and a sense of emotional commitment from adults, both inside and outside the family circle

WE PROVIDE SERVICE TO OTHERS

From its early history, Camp Fire has been known as a service organization. Camp Fire provides youth and families with an awareness of the needs of their community and opportunities to participate in the initiation, planning, and execution of service projects to meet those needs.
