What do you eat?
We eat fresh apples, carrots, eggs, onions
and potatoes but most of the food is
canned or frozen – as fresh food runs out
quickly. Vikki, our chef, has been doing
such a fantastic job to make a different
delicious, balanced meal every day.
It sounds like Halley really is your
home! But what do you
think your next adventure
would be?
I’d like to go travelling
afterwards. I’ll be flown out
to the southern tip of South
America, and I’ll have the
choice of either flying back to
the UK or travelling first then
making my own way back.
Why should Sparklers be thinking
about Antarctica and how can they
do their bit to protect it, even if they
can’t get there in person?
The Earth is your future. You can do
something small to help, such as sorting
out your recycling or eating food that
hasn’t travelled far. You can support your
own area by eating locally grown food.
The Antarctic is unusual because no
country actually owns it, even though
some want to. They’ve agreed to share
it and only use it for science and peace.
If you can tell people you think it should
stay that way, that would be amazing.
