Duryea,’ clipped from checks or business documents. All crisp, clear signatures. Ideal dealer lot, attractively priced. A single Duryea cut autograph lists in Sanders at $186. Limited Edition mixed media lithograph (#196/1000) by HSH Princess Grace for World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), signed ‘GPK’ in plate and with 1981 UN Geneva s7.50 Renewable Sources of Energy issue and First Day Geneva cds above signature. In WFUNA folder with corner tear & bends and accompanied by COA signed by Annabelle Wiener. Unframed, 8½”x14". Fine to very fine. 337 D 1885 LETTER ON ELECTRIC LIGHT BATTERY ............................................................................. PH $750-1000 Letter from Excelsior Manufacturing Company referencing their ‘electric light battery,’ a competitor of Thomas Edison. One page, 8"x10", on letterhead printed ‘Office of Excelsior Manufacturing Co. Manufacturers of Haid Electric Batteries and Appliances,’ dated February 13, 1885, New York. Addressed to Mr. Wm. Hunt of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, it reads in part ‘As The Business of the Excelsior Mfg Co. is done on a strictly Cash Basis, we can make no exception in your place. If you will forward us Money Order for $6.00, we will send you one of our Electric Light Battery & Scarf Pin. Yours truly, Phillips.’ The name of the company is stamped in what appears to be purple ink just above the signature, but has faded. An accompanying envelope is include with a cachet of a battery printed in red. Usual folds, minor ink bleeding does not affect legibility, else near fine condition. PH $3500-5000 Enormous collection of vintage autographed photos, mostly 8"x10"s with the vast majority featuring Silent Era film stars. At least 500 autographed photos, featuring some of the era’s biggest stars like Marion Davies, Mary Pickford, Norma Talmadge, Alice Brady, Lilian and Dorothy Gish, Billie Dove, Pola Negri, Irene Dunne, Helen Hayes, Tom Mix, and many many more. Many autographs personalized with lengthy inscriptions, written for fans. Quality of photos range from Good to Fine, with most autographs and inscriptions still very legible and fresh. Group also features smattering of more modern star autographs (since 1950) including Bob Hope, Tony Curtis, Christopher Reeve (as Superman), Janet Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Piper Laurie, Rock Hudson, and a long-in-years Charlie Chaplin.
