signed on somewhat battered color picture of Doolittle Raid
bomber. Good overall condition despite edge faults.

Typed letter on '90 Church Street' office letterhead, dated 20
December 1963, signed in black ink by Gen. Douglas
MacArthur, thanking Bill Bangert for his Christmas gift of
Missouri pipes. Additional typed letter from month prior from
Mr. Bangert to MacArthur, on Champ, Missouri letterhead,
with a proposal to add MacArthur's name to an athletic
organization Bangert hoped to found; MacArthur has jotted at
bottom 'I would be honored. D. MacA.' Mr. Bangert was a
sportsman, entrepreneur and mayor of Berkeley, MO (suburb
of St. Louis), full of ideas and schemes in the late 1950s and
early 1960s, going so far as to incorporate the village of Champ,
MO to house a future domed stadium and shopping center.
Also includes B&W photo of then-mayor Bangert holding a
shot put ball at the White House with Dwight Eisenhower and
Rosemary Bangert with daughter Sharon. Image from same
visit as Lot 804. Very fine grouping.
Three color 3½”x5½” postcards postmarked 1917 addressed
to future Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. Age
toning and some corner wear, but no rips or tears. Very
interesting group.

Selection of eight (8) ‘Patriotic’ covers, most with 1942-44
Anti-Bolshevik Exposition cancels (various cities); plus about
40 French Legion stamps including Michel #II-V and VI-X,
the latter also in sets with left labels and sets with right labels,
plus a few duplicates. Interesting material, fresh, very fine.

Twelve original German NSDAP propaganda flyers including
5 ‘Feuer Frei!’ flyers (8½”x11"), as well as 7 different 8½”x
11¾” card stock flyers. Some corner wear on most, but still
average fine condition.

A 3½”x5½” picture postcard (unused) of German film director
Leni Riefenstahl and signed nicely by her. Very fine condition.
Riefenstahl was prominent in the Third Reich, and had a great
personal association with Hitler.

An exceptional group of 89 different 3"x4½” B&W photos of
Adolf Hitler and look to be mostly from his earlier days. The
photos all toned with age, but in fine condition otherwise. From
the Ukrainian MVD Archives (Ministry of Internal Affairs).

length. Fine group.

Group of 9 different miniature Nazi booklets (1¼”x2") from
the 1930s, most having solely to do with Hitler, to be used as
Christmas tree ornaments. Five still have strings attached for
hanging. Used.
1940s BRITISH WWII SECURITY CONCERNS
POSTERS ............................................................. PH $300-400
Large color British poster (29½”x40") warning of the dangers
of discussing ship movements. Originally folded once vertically
and three times horizontally. Looks to be never displayed, but
a couple pinholes have developed at a few of the fold corners,
very fine otherwise. Also includes same size ‘Careless Talk’
poster with no graphics (significant edge flaws), and ‘Keep It
Dark’ poster (10"x12") with edge flaws.
1930s TWO FOREIGN COVERS ADDRESSED TO

Two incoming covers, one from Greece franked on back with
four stamps (2 different), the other registered from Argentina,
franked with 3 different, both very fine. Foreign covers to Hitler
are very scarce.
